p.1 #1 · Two Peas in a Pod

I just bought a new flash and an aquarium... it was time to put it all to use!

What do you think?

P.S. I'd much prefer a strawberry over a pea any day

I like it.

Consider bumping the mid-tones to give it a tiny increase in snap.

Wonderful color splash and a creative capture.
Well done!
I'd crop some from the top. It feels a bit tall and gets empty at the top. And the action is mostly water level or beneath.

Nice below the water in terms of interesting content and technique. The top side would be interesting if there was a bigger splash with a V shape mirroring the angle of the strawberries below.

You'd get better contrast with background on the water drops if you backlight them. The trick to stopping motion is to use speedlights at as low a power setting as possible. For example a 580ex at 1/128th power has a flash duration of about 1/50,000th sec. Most studio light durations are in the range of 1/2000th with the exception of some like Einstein with IGBT cut circuits.

I love the colour and the clarity. Nice pic.

Peter

I'm not sure about your preference since I've never been desperate to strawberry
