This week I had THE most frustrating morning of shooting I’ve ever experienced.... I won't recount the entire story here but it involved missing gear, broken brackets, siezed bits and I still went home happy. Got to love shooting macro!
By the time I arrived back at the bees, you guessed it, they had all up and gone. I’m sure I saw the one I originally singled out earlier fly by with one of it’s tiny little bee fingers in the air. “Woosah” I muttered, doing my best to channel Marcus from Bad boys ..... I think something broke inside me at that point. I went from being filled with frustration to laughing and actually seeing the funny side. I’ve always taken the position that if you can’t laugh at yourself, then who can you laugh at? And at that particular moment, I looked like a right goose.
A lovely set of images, Anthony. Just love the blog entry !! It makes me feel a bit better about some of my efforts. We all need the occasional "growth" opportunity or so I'm told

Mark: Yes and No . I've gotten the blue appearing on a couple of shots... not sure why (maybe more natural sunlight, less flash? seems very fickle in number of appearances though). This one had it so gave a healthy push to the vibrancy / saturation sliders in Camera raw (limited to the backend of the bee) to help show it up.
