p.1 #1 · The march of technology

I was shreading some papers from 1994 and came across these amazing digital things I bought:

---Canon 10D: 6MP price same as for my current D7000(16+MP+video++++)
---Sandisk ultra CF a whooping ONE GB for only $249.95, yes two hundreds fourty nine dollars for one gig at snail speed. Compare with the one I can get right now 32 GB for $56.00 that is fifty six dollars the speed: Ferrari!

Hard to complain about the price of 1Dx or D4 6 0r 7 K? and memory will be peanuts.

Just like the days when 2 megabytes of memory in your PC was enormous, or $4000 cell phones in 1980!

I thought the 10D was introduced in 2003

My first computer had a 90 megabyte hard drive. Now one processed image could easily fill that up and then some.

Mine --PC junior--had no hard drive and I managed to do my business accounting with it using floppy disks!

+1@ no hard drive . . . cassette tapes patched from a cassette player/recorder to a pc with 1K of memory. B&W only (no grayscale) ...

Ten+ Years Later ...
Laptop with 1 MB of Memory upgraded to 2 MB "smokin' hot machine" (4 level grayscale)
