Don Ah-ha ... you changed your original post, and that makes a big difference! If you only want the 24-70L mounted, not the 70-200L, it opens up a whole different field of bag options. There are not a lot of "small" bags that will hold a mounted 70-200L f/2.8! The Think Tank "Retrospective 10" would be an option, I think some people use a Domke F-5XC for just two lenses, and I use a Billingham "207" for that, which also has room for a flash and a TC or small prime (35L) ... and it is rainproof without a fussy rain-cover which hinders access. I also use a ONA "Union Street" to carry that combination in a thin profile bag. -howard Jan 05, 2012 at 01:46 AM

I looked at the Domke and Crumpler bags recommended and both could work. But, I think the TT Retrospective 10 comes closest to what I'm looking for.. Going to try it out tomorrow at a local shop. Yes it is a small bag, but I can put inside 5dmII w/Grip with 70-200 2.8 (hood reversed)! And i can pack it together with 24-70 w/hood and 17-40! So that bag is not so small!! Retrospective 20 as far as I have understood is only few cm taller than retrospective 10! For my gear mentioned above Retrospective10 is very usable! No room for anything else, and not so accessible when removing the camera. So, I opted for the Retro-10 which arrives on Monday. I found that you can measure everything you have against bag specs, but it never seems to quite work out with soft sided bags. You're lucky to have access to quality bags to test fit.
