We are Canon shooters most here, right? I think it´s nice one time less to discuss gear, competing gear and rumors. Even I do not know one of you in person - I found out, there are many of you I would love to meet personally.
So why not, wishing you and all of us a great, healthy and successfull new year full of beautiful moments, pleasure and love? And beside that, great shots and the gear everybody wishes.

Given the huge number of "End of the world" predictions that have been made in the last few years, and since we're still here, I think the odds are pretty good that we'll see 2012, 2013, and more to follow.
Some people give more weight to the Mayan calendar ending than to the predictions of self-proclaimed prophets, but they shouldn't. They should do what one always does when a calendar runs out: start over at day one on the next cycle.

There was a "preacher" who predicted the end of the world or the Second Coming or some such several times in 2011. Each time it didn't happen, he said he had made a "calculating error" and moved the date.

I was trying to type it all out and it autocorrects the heck out of me.
Though I do remember (now that you point it out to me) my home room teacher in 8th grade saying something about that. I had a German speaking teacher (not class) in 8th grade. I'm 29 now.
So it´s long time ago. After that period forgetting something (that is not really important anyway) seems acceptable to me. By the way, Robert. It was a joke from me, too.

I really wish I had a full understanding of my German. I had the teacher help me with it, so I could understand bands like "Oomph!" and "Megaherz" when they sang in German.
