Trying the BBC code instead of the HTML code. Not sure what bbc stands for but I'll give it a shot. Looked for a sticky giving instructions, I'll look a little more if this doesn't work.

I find the brighter foreground object and trees compete too much with the sky making them the stronger focal point, when the sky and stars is more interesting. Do you have any shots where less foreground lighting (or none) was used for comparison?

Tried to balance the sky vs. foreground a bit with some selective edits... removed the distraction of the horizon lights and your watermark (unfortunately killed some reflection detail also).

Slight crop also.

Could you repost or post an additional version with long edge 800-1000? Too big to see on most monitors without scrolling.

Here is a version without the foreground lit (the midground is still lit.) I guess I could average the two. I tried averaging the two but the problem is that the floating tree stump is moving and doesn't line up easily. Thanks for the comments, I did darken the horizon lights a bit.

Duplicate layers, then selective adjust/delete/blend to taste.
(needed better masking at the trunk of the tree/water line ... I just masked at the horizon for a quickie)
