It easily whips the iphone silly, for sure. A well processed RAW from an S90, which my brother has, and has sent me RAWs of, can be quite a darn nice photo, did an 18x 24" on the Epson 7880 and it held up very, very well, I can nitpick the image, but he thinks its fabulous, and I look forward to doing the same, and the video would also be nice to have in a small package,
I have Amazon with "one click purchasing" on my phone...I bought the S95 yesterday waiting at a stoplight with about 3 seconds thought after I saw the "gold box deal of the day"...
In other words, I'm aparently at Amazon's mercy, so I really hope they don't throw out any other good deals that I can't help myself on...

So you're a dangerous driver and an impulse shopper :P Thanks for sharing.
I know I should, but I screw with my phone at stop lights too. Though, never when it's moving, and never when I have my son in the car.
Yea, stoplights only for me. The car is a stick shift, so any other playing around on the phone while driving would either case me not to be able to shift, or not to be able to steer...either way it probably wouldn't end well....
I'm typically not an impulse shopper at all, or even a shopper for that matter. But $230 for that camera was just too good a deal to pass up. I figured they'd sell out before the end of the day.
This camera has crazy barrel distortion. Really much worse than the lx3. It's not well corrected in jpg, which is a bummer as a pas should be able to make good jpgs. I'm surprised to read reviews say its negligible...it's not IMO!
The flash is also weird. In all modes but m, you can control +- ev. In m you are limited to low medium high.
I love how pocketable it is, but I don't think it's as good of a camera as the Panasonic lx series.
Only on FM will a top of the line point and shoot camera end up in the glove box to replace the occasional iphone pic...I thought about doing it too, but then I remembered that this is why they hate us...and I'm broke. So I resisted.

Haha, good point! And yes, this camera will go in my wifes purse to pull out randomly to take shots of our daughter when she would have normally used her iPhone.
Granted...at $400 or whatever it was before, we would have never considered it, but at $230 all-in, it becomes a little better proposition.
Its a pretty nice little camera, I'm impressed with it sofar. It far exceeds any other PnS that I've had in the past. I've snapped a few shots around the house and of various family members since it arrived on 12/20. Tomorrow will be the first time I've had a chance to take it outside and shoot something, look forward to finding some trains to photograph since thats what I normally shoot.
