Over the years that I'm taking photos, I've dabbled into taking quite a few kinds of photos, but taking photos of rain is something that equally stumped me now and back then when I just got started. However after today I think I might have finally taken the baby step forward on this.

This is a nice image. However, is that a speck of dust on your sensor? Just above the horizon, a third of the way in from the right.
Thanks.
You are right, I haven't paid attention to this sort of things for a while, I took a close look of my photos and found that there are quite a few spots! Thanks for pointing it out. I replaced the photo with one that is cleaned up.
The rain streaks are quite fine even when zoomed in at 100%, and visible only at the foreground. At this resolution it's pretty much invisible actually.
It is the main reason that I said I didn't really know how to shoot rain, most of the time it just turns up as a blur.
I do notice the thin border line now, I wonder how it got there? Artifact from resizing? in the Photoshop window I can't see the thin border since the picture is surrounded by the window.
