It is manual focus... Isn't it like 2011 now?
Right. And did you notice they don't even tell you the full zoom range? All the ad says is it's 35mm. But 35mm what? 35-400, 35-600, 10-35 or what? Who'd buy this out-dated anachronism without knowing its full zoom range?
I love todays tech stuff. My xbox 360 has the ability to mute individual loud mouths when I play online and FM has the "hide me" button. Shame its a necessity.

So, if I click "hide me" on your post, does it hide you from me, or me from you? Just asking (and testing to see who's hiding who...).

Hiding only hides the posts from a user. Unfortunately there is no way to hide a thread started by a specific OP for example. You can also hide yourself as I have done accidentally

EBH
I know. I was just messin' with him. I've also hid myself by accident.
In many shooting situations I wouldn't even consider AF,where as with other situations AF would be the preferred option.
They both have their place in photography.

You can keep your over priced mf lenses, and I'll stick to the af offerings that in realistic purposes, aren't bested by the zeiss lenses.
I'm not saying zeiss isn't better. Most often their mtf kicks ass, the colors and renditions are nice too.
That is if you nail that mf on the button...misfocus, and all that extra good ess..wasted.
So what in the cost of that lens justifies it, when they save money on the components for af.
On top of that, I'm surprised that people haven't been crying because their mf lenses don't have image stabilization.
MF with NEX-5N (or NEX-7) isnt much of issue.. neither accuracy of that MF.
Tho same goes to good quality split prism/micro-prism focusing screens, like in good old days.
Funny thing is, that MF if done properly is actually quite a lot of times sharper and more accurate than AF. Tested myself, applies especially on macro stuff.
Otherwise as someone suggested, one of best Canon wide-angles are manual focus only (TS-E 17mm f4 L and TS-E 24mm f3.5 L MK2). Tho thats pure because AF simply cant work with it.
