I would've done that in a heartbeat, had I known about it sooner.
The truth is, with the Bill Me Later function, I realistically got the lens cheaper, since I won't be paying interest on it, as I plan to have it paid off shortly after the sale of my old 70-200.
Downside is...with the good deals on the new 70-200...my old one isn't getting many bites, and I refuse to be one of the people who sell it for 1300 bucks wheN I seen them not 6 months ago, go for 2000. BrianO wrote:
Nice. I'll have to do that next time I have discretionary income. I think that'll be in 2013. Late 2013.

Meh, I had that offer again yesterday. Wish they'd try to sucker me into a 135L instead.
I can sucker you into my used 135L. EB-1 wrote:
Hmm. My 70-200/2.8 IS II was in the normal Canon printed white box. It is rather large compared to the previous Canon 70-200/2.8 lenses.

Yeah, it is much, much larger. I noticed it too when I opened it.
i originally ordered it from b and h, but then saw adorama matching the price and sincei purchased two, that meant over $150 in cashback. that is quite a bit...
as far as cc's go, it's been about four years since i've paid interest on one...

I'm sort of "close" to that.
My "bill me later" is interest free, so I don't count that. I've got 2 balances, but they are at 0% and 3.9% indefinitely. I'm looking to be debt free, aside from my house and car in February.
The only "hiccup" to that now, is that my new 70-200. but I digress lol.
