To me, the trademark qualities of the Sigma 50 f/1.4 lens is the nice bokeh and warm color tones. As far as sharpness goes, it might be a tad sharper at f/1.4 than the Canon 50 f/1.4, but not by much. The build quality is much better though. Don't wait for a lens that's razor sharp wide open at f/1.4. I don't think you'll find one.

I pulled the trigger, really looking forward to a new tool and most importantly, the photographs that I hope to result with the lens.
