p.2 #1 · p.2 #1 · Shooting video with Sony NEX-5N

Sorry but I'm offering a polar opposite result in my experience. Not only is the video I've been taking from the 5N simply superb, it smokes a semi pro Sony Camcorder I was using previously. Video wise with manual focus it is a tad better than my D7000 (which surprised me) but when using 60P is simply another league. There is no moire or artifacts like I was getting out of my Panny Mft camera (G3) and the color is simply stunning and accurate. Exposures are dead on and the sound even from the built in mics has been excellent. I prefer to use a tripod for best results. The 5N is my "go to" for the best results possible. I can only run it 18 minutes before a shut down, but for 5 minutes at a time it's wonderful. I have NO desire nor need for a camcorder or any other camera for this purpose. I have no idea why you are not happy with the results. I'll often convert the AVCHD file and upload it on YouTube as well. As a still camera there is NO competition at this time anywhere near it's level. The GH-2 ain't there for still's just movies in my usage. I tried one and sent it back.
