While this could be an ad thread for the 100L, you can probably take great flower shots with just about any lens, as PetKal demonstrates.
Great shots all around.
Does the AF confirm work accurately while manual focusing on the 100ZE? I have one of those chipped M42 screwmount adapters and while the focus confirm works, I don't think its that accurate.
I see and hear all these Canon and others lenses, and yet i would offer one of Canons s harpest lens and least expensive lenses- their 135 f2.8 Soft Focus lenses. That with some tubes- is outstanding, and creative beyond the other s mentioned or shown.

It does for me. No adapter required though for the ZE mount though. Most of florals are done with live view though.
Hi Jeff...With the 5D my favorite lens for flowers is the 135 2.0, with a kenko tube. Once in awhile I will play with the 85 1.8 ? End up going right back to the 135mm 2.0. Often wish Canon would put out a macro 135mm 2.0 ! Til then you will never look back with the 135 on full frame!
Beautiful Terry. It sure seems the lens for DOF control, I should rent one to see if it would be too redundant along side my 100L. Thanks. When I can't be traveling most of the interesting subjects around here are smallish - flowers, butterflies, hummingbirds. A fast 135 seems a good focal length, perhaps with tubes as you say. Well, hummers take longer.
Thanks Jeff....I once owned the 100mm 2.8(non L)....bought on buy and sell...nice sharp copy, sold it and never looked back. Really enjoy the 135mm focal length for flowers....
here are 2 more I really like....both with 135....first F4, 2nd photo F2.2
I think you can pull off great flower shots with almost anything. My personal favorites have been with my 180L but my 24L is not far behind - two very different lenses. Depends on your vision and technique imho.
