Hand carried camera and lenes to VA facility, they call when everything was ready for P/u, wasn't same day service believe it was 3 days.

I decided to risk shipping it to Canon. The lens was received at Canon on 12/9, repaired, and received back here on 12/15. That was excellent turnaround for an ordinary consumer like me.

"Your product has been examined and it was found that the part was loose, the screw was loose. The part was replaced. Product functions were confirmed. Adjusted center tilt/front/back focus and cleaned factory specs.

Parts: Rubber Mount and Lens Mount Assembly (Type 2)"

if you are ordinary what does that make me

on a serious side my experience is canon repair does an excellent job and the turn around time is exceptional.

Don't rotate the lens to take a verticals, just take horizontals and crop.

Normally I am rotating the lens with a 4th gen foot and a pair of opposing/offset Wimberley M-1s on a beanbag. Most of the time I don't tighten the tripod collar.
