p.1 #3 · Any have hands-on exp. w/ a Timbuk2 Snoop Medium?
I've seen that picture, and unfortunately it doesn't. First, I'm wondering if that is the "small" size (the come in XS, S and M), and I'm mainly interested in packing w/ lens mounted, if an 80-200 fits well, how many extra inserts come with it, etc.
I read through a number of reviews, and everyone seems to want to use the stock photo from Timbuk2 -
If I get one of these suckers, you can bet I'll post a lot of pictures!
you then call timbuk2 and ask what dividers come with it along with dimensions
as far as fit, that is subjective. and since it has limited space your options too will be limited for setting up. after that is do what you can and snap away.
as to images after going to your site it seems you too opt to using other peoples images.

I've exchanged e-mails with them, which hasn't worked well. They do have dimensions on their site, but in some of the materials and reviews they claim two bodies and 4+ lenses: that picture just doesn't look like that, but I'll call them on Monday. Based on what I know, and from looking at the Timbuk2 bag a co-worker has, I think the Medium will work out. I'll be doing a large Laptop Messenger with the Medium Snoop insert.

True, though I do it only if I think their images tell the story (hey, I'm not Trey Ratcliff, right?). In the case of the Black Rapid strap (A) I thought that picture showed the strap well and (B) I really didn't want a picture of the strap running across my gut. I'm sure you liked my site better that way .
For the rest, I'm generally linking things that I've found useful, illustrative, etc. After all, I'm just an Enthusiast Photographer, not a pro blogger or a commercial site like our buddy Ken. My beef is that is the only real shot, and nobody is taking others. I guess I'll fix that
I'm getting ready to publish a review of the Ona bag on my site using my pictures, poor as they are . I'll try to do a better job with the Timbuk2 bag.

who is Trey Ratcliff?
i mean i can say i know Peter B. Kaplan and have shot with him. he's a gas just to hang with. lots of history in him.
don't sell yourself short.
i think i've put about a total of 10 minutes into mr rockwells site. he is no better or worse then any other photographer with an ego that needs soothing. i know.

The king of HDR? The guy behind the Stuck in Customs site? My sarcasm meter really sucks on the internet. He's the guy I feature in my blog post on HDR - he consistently has photos that I enjoy, which isn't true of a lot of HDR guys for me. Seems like a nice guy, too.

Sounds like my writing buddy Dan Erwin (wrote for Bimmer, Roundel, Forza - lots of car magazines, especially BMW-focused ones). Unfortunately, I lost him to a motorcycle accident a few years ago.

Thanks...I think

I call Ken the Rush Limbaugh of the photography world, except he can be useful at times. His write-ups on the settings for various Nikon bodies are pretty good, etc. I have to put on a filter when I go to his site though. His take on RAW is utter BS, and he seems to go out of his way to say things that are offensive and condescending. Anyway...

I want to post some feedback after using this for a while and having used other bags. The popular shoulder/messenger bag to compare the Snoop medium is the Crumpler 7MDH. The Timbuk2 feels slightly bigger, but I prefer the 7MDH more because it's more rigid. Don't get me wrong, none of them have stiff sides. But the design of the Timbuk2 is a bag inside a bag, which seems to have the inner bag slide around in the outer bag. Also, there seems to be more under-utilized space with this design. It's not a bad bag, but I can definitely organize better with the 7MDH than the Timbuk2, and to have a smaller overall appearance.
Now the small size Timbuk2 is a unique fit. I use it to carry Rolleiflex and Leica. I also have the Domke 803 and that won't fit the Rolleiflex. Now the Timbuk2 Snoop XS is my favorite small bag.
