I am designing a website for a studio that I'll be opening soon. The studio will be available to be rented out by other photogs. The intro page will be a panoramic of the studio, I have everything else pretty much done and was hoping for some critique. Any feedback is most appreciated.
The location of the studio helps. As does a photo. And if you have the budget/space a kitchen area is a good idea. Food photographers need studio space too.
The "Studio Rental" page should be broken up more so that features stand out.
Extensive pictures of not just the studio but makeup and client areas etc is needed
Specifics of details of equipment
Is the area away from staff? This annoys the heck out of me if it's not and I'm disturbed
Can I shoot liquids?
Is seamless etc use included or not? Set building?
How big is the studio and what shape? (sq ft)
Is there parking and for how many cars?
etc.
Think about what you would want to know before dropping money of models, MUAs and bringing in clients. This is a studio rental site done well http://www.phstudio.co.uk/studiohire.htm
Even if the studio image where there its very lacking. You need to answer this question as soon as the page loads: "What do they do here?" It needs something that says "We rent our studio to you". Then once they get that, what do they do? IT needs a clear "call to action". A button to take them to a form where they contact/reserve the studio.
Very text heavy and needs to use more graphics (not necessarily photos) and layout to communicate the message.
