loyalty4life Offline • Upload & Sell: On p.1 #1 · Anyone have a Spyder3 Monitor Calibrator? Hey guys, I'm looking to use one of these to calibrate my monitor. I can't justify the price tag at the moment, and I can't find anyone on CL with this to borrow from. So I thought that if someone had this at home and isn't using it, would it be okay to borrow it for a day or two? I'll pay shipping both ways, including confirmation. My feedback here is still somewhat new (8 positive), but on eBay, I have over 240 positive feedback, and 0 negative. I can send you a message via eBay with my account if you'd like to see it. The problem is if a guy's got a colorimeter that's working for him he's very reluctant to let it out of his hands. If your monitor is as far out as you say it can be improved with a visual calibration. http://www.normankoren.com/makingfineprints1A.html There should be a rough visual color calibration in windows or or your PP or your video driver software. Why not just buy a used unit? no you don't. in the case of xrite i1 profiler software for the monitor can be downloaded freely from their website and as long as their unit is used it recognizes the unit and allows its baseline use. that being for the screen. if you wish to add capability you buy the code and it unlocks it. The only "calibration" you would need are your eyes and printing untill you like it. It takes mostly three times to get what you want. sometimes, same big size.
