I like your idea and shot but think the shot is way over sharpened, halo around the outside of the sail and the horizon, and the background shows lots of noise, I dont think its my monitor so I feel this is an honest evaluation . I always admire your other works and voted many times for your photo's I just don't feel this one is up to what it could be.
Yes, the sail picks up a halo even at really low settings, but I did make it deliberately grainy. With the topic being silhouettes - perhaps I wacked the curves too much. Here is a re-size only...The control lines are hard to discern.
