p.1 #1 · how do I remove the background ? (CS5)

Hi guys, I've been trying to remove this background for hours litteraly, but I end up loosing lots of hair strands and the final picture looks really weird
is there a way I could just remove the color ?

is there any way you can re-shoot this on a white background?
that may be your best chance at a clean image

Depends on how much time you want to spend, and how great a result you're looking for. What were you trying?

contrast masks aside, i'm telling you right now you need to re-shoot or try with a different image. And yes, you can desaturate just the green, or use the eyedropper to focus on the exact color of the tarp and bring it down to gray, or even tone it a different color. But trying to remove the background thinking you're gonna end up with some magazine-esque fashion shot is probably unattainable at your skill level, judging by your original question.
