I am using one of their templates and found it quite easy to install and had it up and running in very little time. Customer support has been great when needed and they are continually upgrading features at no additional cost. I have a 50% off code if you are interested also.
Just as a follow-up, I purchased a WP theme from intothedarkroom but the experience has been less than stellar.
Installation is done through an automated FTP connection on their end. Problem is, if you are moving your blog to a new server and want to work on the new theme before changing your DNS settings, their installer won't work. I am able to access the new server with my FTP client just fine, so the problem is clearly on their end.
The only solution offered by ITD was to have a "coming soon" screen on the new blog until I finishing setting up the new template. This is a completely unexceptionable solution for my business. Absent that, they've told me that we're "at an impasse".
So, I've purchased a theme, their installer won't work until the DNS is propagated to the new server, and they refuse to just send me a theme zip file.
I'm still working on getting this resolved, but so far I regret the purchase and wish I had just bought an updated ProPhoto theme instead.
Sorry to hear you are having problems. Before I purchased the template, I saw on the FAQ section " Once the product is installed, it can not be moved to a new location. This includes moving it to a new folder or URL. So make sure you think about where you want the product to live and install it there. If it needs to be moved, you can contact us and for a small fee we can assist you"
I had to be sure I wasn't planning on changing servers before I installed my site or I would have been in the same position you are in now. Hopefully they can help you get thsi resolved.
My problem isn't moving anything, it's getting ITD to deliver the product I paid for. Moving WP blogs is actually not that difficult, you just have to know how to edit the database settings.
I've provided them with all my DNS and FTP server login information, and I even gave them my WP admin access information. I've already done all the heavy lifting myself by setting up the blog database on the new server for them. Everything works perfectly, except that I can't get the theme I paid for.
