Lovely vista, and sadly from my perspective one that is rapidly fading away.
Editorial comment: it is extremely difficult to view the mountains, especially through Wears Valley, without seeing the silhouettes of many (very large) houses carved into the ridges and mountain side. Sad.
I think the OOF weeds detract, they are too OOF, especially the yellow-green blob 1/3 in from the left. I would have either shot over them or removed them.
I like you didn't try to remove the background haze. It's natural. Look at good landscape paintings and you'll see plenty used to give atmosphere and guide the viewer's eye.
Yeah, I missed the weeds on the left. I've got a few more series of pano shots from this location to work up, so I'll be on the lookout for such issues. This is just a 'rough draft' from the small jpgs, so I'll have lots to work with in the RAW's if I need to retouch. I don't print much, but this one (or the others) will likely make a canvas for my sister.
These were shot at dusk and as you can see it was heavily overcast. Shot @ f8 1/3s so the foreground movement really blurred heavy in the case of the weeds.
Bob, I didn't drive through the Vally this time (this is just at the edge of Townsend), but I always feel for those landowners who are having what they came there for being transformed into something they were trying to escape to begin with.
Kent, now I am jealous of that incredible view, just beautiful. The oof grass lower left and other oof area in the lower middle do distract from the image. Barbara
