p.1 #1 · Nikon D700 with Novatron 500 VR Question

I am looking at buying a set of Novatron 500 VR strobes. I shoot with a Nikon D700. Does anyone have any success stories with this set-up? Can I plug directly into the D700 or will the voltage mess my sync up? Any info or advice would be appreciated. Thanks

I had an older Novatron pack and it worked great. Real easy to use, just not as versatile or fast as my Speedotron packs. Pick up some Neutral density gels they will help out a lot. I used a wireless system (Cybersync) to trigger the pack if you are going to connect your camera directly to the pack I would get a wein safety sync just to be safe. It's cheaper then a repair bill on D700

I use old Novatron 1500 pack with my D300s. Used with sync cord, never had a problem. Now a days I use with CACTUS V5, going good.
