Yes, I've hiked the Appalachian trail through there. Nice for landscapes, especially in the Fall. Not a bad hike. You should enjoy it.

I live in NYC and I go to the area often. In Spring to do bird photography (Cerulian warblers nest in the area) and in fall to see the foliage and shot some pictures.
