I am fairly close to purchase a couple of new strobes (likely the Einsteins). Currently, I have two 580EX's that I use PLUS IIs with. I use a miniphone to PC sync cable that is 12 inches long.
I am planning on getting a TT1 so I can at least use my 2 new monolights and 1 580EX. The connections to the E640 is miniphone to miniphone (E640 to the PLUS II). I checked FlashZebra and the shortest cable length is 6 feet and the length goes up from there. Some of the cables have a right angle.
That seems like a lot of extra cable if I am just going to hang my PLUS IIs off of my lightstand.
Should I look around for a shorter miniphone to miniphone cable? I could bunch it up but I would like to hear from the photographers that do their job day and day out what cable length they recommend. Also, does a cable with a right angle offer pros or cons?
I haven't used them yet but will try them out tomorrow and let you know. I really like buying all of my cables from mono price. The cable quality is fantastic.
