Yep, using my home office for newborn shots...extremely small.
I have one OCF SB-600 and possibly getting my hands on an AB400. How would you light this?

Got a window?

You could then use a flash if needed as key but I'd probably just use the window and shoot wide open.

And, I don't shoot babies so it's just an idea.

Yeah...I have a long thin window in this room...but a huge maple tree in front of it so the light is not bright.

Point the AB straight up and use the ceiling as your light source. If needed, use your SB-600 on-camera for a bit of fill (won't need much).

If the wall is white, I'd bounce if off the wall, not the ceiling.

Looks like the AB400 is out....discovered I need brakes for my car ASAP.

But I still have my SB-600 and umbrella.

Recently painted my wall gray - they were goldish/yellow - harsh. Gonna play around tonight with lighting one of my daughter's babydolls in some newborn poses. !

One flash and a reflector would be enough. Just try to avoid too much reflection from where you don't want it. Some black panels would help block that. I use a black piece of foam core. Hobby Lobby and others have 36x30 and larger for very little cost. Bounced light on ceiling sounds like it would be very flat lighting. You really want some contrast and the eyes well lit. Would not fit my style but yours may differ.
