p.1 #1 · Depth of Field Question

Is the depth of field too shallow?... Should more of subject be sharp (in focus)?

Thanks for the input.

For me there are two concerns: the very in focus stem at the top, and lighter areas of the blossom being OOF while the darker are in focus. One expects the opposite to be the case.

So, I guess the answer is: it depends. Was your intent to focus on the interior (darker) portion of the blossom? If so, OK, else too shallow.

A different camera position might have made this a non-concern.

My opinion,

Bob

Playing with moring light. I think your right...different camera angle and need to shoot a hour or so sooner.

Kaden, the name was added when I uploaded to post with Freds' "show name" field. I upload from files that are on my computer and I don't put it on the originals, they are mostly protected on my website from copy. My name is still embeded in the exif data.

If you look at the properties, it's still there.

Thanks for the input. In the next couple of days, I want to play with morning light and some different glass to see if I can get repeatable results and something that's cool to look at.

Will post a few when I get them

Thanks again for the time and input,
Jefferson
