p.1 #1 · Street experiment

Attempting to dabble in street photography, certainly outside my comfort zone.

Two images from Fall Festival, Evansville, IN over the last weekend.

Your thoughts, C&C welcomed..

regards,

Bob

I like the compos, Bob, although the metal pole on the left of the first is unfortunate. Might be worth a retouch. The neutral B & W works well for the little ones in jeans. You might also consider cropping the second from the top for a tighter version. Perhaps some blur applied to the negative space would also help focus attention:

Thanks AuntiPode,

I like the crop - it also removes the guy's "transformed" arm at the upper left...an artifact of removing 1/4 of their mother's bum at the LHS. The guy and lady sitting on the bench are problematic. I've read so much about cropping limbs I'm gun-shy, but also read for street photography there are no rules.

Not too sure about this street photography thing - in this particular instance there was no room to move without getting either run over by a stroller or trampled by parents. I agree about the neutral BW, maybe the toning is a little over the top for the first.

Still more to cull through and toss into the ring.

Thanks again,

Bob
