It is different and it is interesting, grabbing more than a few looks.
I like the lens flare on the left, over and trailing her body. She is basking in it, or irradiated by it , or enlivened and almost ready to be transported by it. All adding quite a bit of interest. The false color heightens the surreal effect and I like it here as well.
I dont know what the bright wedges are far right, but that feels distracting. On the far left, to the left of the sunburst, the aperture effect is distractingly strong. Interestingly, there appears almost to be a clockface look to the radiating light on the left.
I have no idea what you can do about any of the distracting elements, if you agree.
I wish we could see at least a bit of her face, presumably in rapture.
Neat. Do more.
Scott
Totally unlike anything I've seen.
For that, I say good job!
Scott pretty much nailed my crits, except I don't need to see her face as he does. Leaving out her face keeps it more anonymous, which is favorable to me for this particular shot.
Thanks!
Yeah the flare on this lens (Rokinon 8mm aspherical fisheye) is very pronounced and sometimes a little unpredictable. The triangles and apparent banding in the sky are all part of the flare.
Diggin' the placement of the flare and the standing on tiptoe to give it additional 'transport' emotive.
I'd like to see it de-'fished' a little bit. It doesn't look like it would take much and you could lose the tell-tale @ the horizon/top right corner. I don't think you'd lose much of significance in the process.
