I have been working harder lately on composing my photos better, and lighting them better. I wouldn't consider myself anything but an amateur. I would appreciate some *constructive* criticism on my photos.
Any help is great help, and I'd appreciate all comments.
As Peter mentioned, it is a bit easier for others if they are directly posted rather than linked.
For me, they look "overcooked". You specifically mention in the coral shot that color & contrast were not adjusted, but I have to wonder if your saturation is up high and or how you might otherwise be processing them to get them 'overcooked'.
I understand that some people like vibrant color, but (imo) they are all overdone, taking away from their other qualities. That being said, "art" is "art", and if that is the look that you are striving for, then that's your call. In that regard, the elephant shot looks more like a painting than a photograph ... kinda diggin' it, but I'm having trouble with it's ultra-heavy handed processing.
Thanks RustyBug.. I think it is my monitor. I looked at them on my friend's Mac, and my photos do look oversaturated. Maybe time for a new(er) monitor.
