p.1 #1 · Does My "New" Lens Have Fungus/Mold?

I just bought this lens from another user, and it has a shiny side on one of the inner rings. Ive never seen it, its my first sigma lens also.

i googled lens mold and it looks like that what it is, but i just wanted others input before i send it back.

(When i extend the zoom it is still there, just spreads out)

All the lens fungus I've seen has threads around around a tuft in the center. Hard to tell from your pic is that's the case here. What you might have is some dust, or perhaps some condensation residue on one of the elements.
