p.1 #1 · A Video question, not sure where to post it

Ok so curiosity has peaked and I am thinking of playing with the video feature on my d7000. I haven't even tried yet but wanted to ask if anyone knows of or recommends a video editing software to edit clips and if the same software has cool effects like the old looking film recording look I've seen some do. A whole other world from what i am use to but very curious to mess with it. Thanks for any info you have,
Scott

Mac: Final Cut 7 is What a lot of semi-pros like to use. Final Cut X is more streamlined for the general population, so it should be easier to use.

PC: Sony Vegas. It's the cheapest and very versatile. A step up would be Adobe Premiere, which is exactly like Final Cut.

Since you're completely new to video editing, opt for Sony Vegas (for both pc and mac) or Final Cut X (only if it's cheaper).
