I live in Indianapolis, but I often travel to Boulder, CO since my sister lives there. I'll be in vacation in Boulder between Sept. 22nd and October 2nd. I am wondering if any landscape photographer (you don't have to be a pro) would consider me joining him/her for a photo/hiking trip up in the Rockies. My sister and my friends there are all hikers/bikers, but no one is seriously into photography, so it would be great to have a trip with someone who knows the area and is into photography. By the way, I'll have a car while in Boulder, so transportation is not an issue.

I'll be in that area on Oct 1, 2 and part of 3. But, I'm not planning any hikes - lazy me. I'll probably drive around to RMNP and other areas and find some place to set the tripod down and shoot some fall colors.

Thanks for your reply. I am sure you will enjoy your time in CO. I've been at RMNP many times and you will love it there, especially in this period of the year. Colors are just magic. When I am in CO, in an average day I take more pictures than in a couple of months here in Indiana. Although there is some nice country side here in IN, after traveling to the West (CO, Northern CA. OR, WA), I just can't find much inspiration in IN.

Thank you very much for the link. I took few shots today near Boulder and colors are nice, but still a little bit weak (too much green and too little red and yellow). If you want to see a couple of pictures to get some idea about colors as of today (Sept. 23rd), please let me know your mail address, so I can email you them.
I'll probably drive around to RMNP and other areas and find some place to set the tripod down and shoot some fall colors.
