p.1 #1 · A little creative help

I have this opportunity to get a photo for a magazine (possible cover), but it is to be done in a garage. I need to get an electric vehicle charging station with two people in the picture. I, of course, want to make it look the best I can. Yuck environment.

I'm thinking I'll get up high and shoot down more to eliminate clutter (and ugly walls). I may light with a harder light on the subjects to let the other areas fall off. Here's a photo of the environment: http://bit.ly/q3uwxC

Any thoughts?

Is the charger going to be connected to a car? Do you have the time to bring in props?

You very well may not need this observation (probably don't), but surely you want to do something about that ugly wall first.

Find a good looking garage. The clutter and unfinished look will pull the eye if its in your frame. A high-end garage will complement the e-vehicle. And the car doesn't have to be actually plugged in to anything, it just has to look as if it is.

And do you have to have a garage? If the editorial slant permits, you could similate plugging the car into something else. Anything else but that garage. (I'd offer you my garage but it looks just like yours. )
