All these pictures were taken the same day using a Sony A77 with Contax C/Y Zeiss 35-70 mm lens with Leitax adapter. The location is near Mesa, Arizona, USA
Sony SLT A77 with Carl Zeiss Jena 135mm f/3.5 I found that using an M42 adapter with a 135 mm chip makes a big difference in sharpness as it allow the SteadyShot to function. Before I used the chipped adapter, I would have said the lens was not that sharp.
The slight overexposure you did, suits the picture and the light-skinned girl perfectly. Beautiful, makes her so fragile. Would you mind sharing what you did?

Hey, that's an old one, you've been digging deep through the thread . Glad you liked it. It was quite straight forward: very harsh, mid day light, so I took her under the canopy of a small tree, making sure to not get too many hot spots. In camera, I metered for her skin tones, framed reasonably close (very minimal cropping), and used a wider aperture to enhance the softer, lighter feeling I was after. A bit of wind caught her hair, and she was very comfortable in front of the camera, those two elements are equally important. In PP it's quite straight forward, just moving the exposure to the right in order to lift everything (incl shadows), but not too far, adjusted by eye to liking. For such photos I also try to avoid anything too dark in the background as that really can spoil it.
Here is one of my last photos of 2012. Not my favourite, but I kinda liked the play on shadows I got. I hope fellow Alpha shooters enjoy many moments in 2013.
Thanks Mescalamba. I've been using the a850 and a900 alongside each other for over a year now. With weddings I always keep two bodies on me at all times...
