edward: love the last shot in that series. Its amazing how much better it looks on my 24" iMac screen than the 11.6" Macbook Air screen.

I suspect these would pop more if you spent more time on resizing and sharpening. Have you tried Samuli's or Denoir's sharpening methods?
Thanks for the info. This scanner seems to be very good judging from the colors in your pics. I had the Nikon 5000 but wasn't happy with the colors, but it could've been my scanning method at fault.
Edward,
I never had a a Nikon 5000 but I didn't notice any color difference between the Dual Scan IV and the nikon 9000. I indeed do most of the scans with the minolta. Just need to keep my film clean.

These were just messing about with Minolta's AF 50mm f/2.8 with it's 1:1 macro abilities on Panasonic's GH1.
(#1) 1:1 - I think he's a new-born hover-fly... He's super tiny. 4mm ~ 5mm ?
(#2) 1:1 - 90% crop. Yeah, he's about 3mm long not counting his antennae. I have no idea what he is.
(#3) Nearly 1:1 - same description as #2
(#4) 1:3 Full - Scaled
(#5) 1:4 - Massive crop
(#6) 1:3 - Massive crop
(#7) 1:3 - Massive crop
(#8) 1:2 Mild cropping
They're not that creative or anything but I thought good enough to post - I mean for just pointing the camera in some direction or another and clicking.
I dig the focus ring markings on this lens. It allows you to know the mag. ratio of any shot from almost infinite all the way to MFD which is about 7.8" according to the other scale markings.
