I agree, your photos about sliced my eyes ; it was a previous poster who (I thought) had made a comment to that effect about his. Amongst the many others, the sale of my Pentax lenses 3-4 years ago ranks highest amongst my seller's regret quotient. I've been giving thought lately to picking up a K-5 and a kit lens as a walk-around rig for out forthcoming trip to Paris.
How do you feel about the FA31 for photographing people? I was thinking to myself that, if I were shooting Pentax, would I prefer the FA31 or the FA43 for pictures of family and friends at home, on vacation, etc.? I realize that personal preference is important here, but I'm just hoping to gather information. My initial thought is that the 31 may be a bit wide for this purpose but I've never used it.
Thanks,
Brad
P.S. Thanks to everyone for posting pics in this thread. I've enjoyed viewing them.

I switched from Canon to Pentax just 3 months ago. Apart from K5's sensor and its ability to handle high ISO plus possibly Pentax FA Ltd lenses, I don't like K5 as compared to my previous Canons (40D n 5D). Using manual lenses apart from the A, all the rest is a pain to use. I am still searching for a proper focusing screen like the Canon # S. I have tried a few split screens and they are totally useless indoor or bright sunshine. And I have to contend with a ton of metering problems when I change the focusing screen, unlike Canon. ...Show more →
I assume lenses are the only reason you chose k5 over d7000?
Have to say I'm not entirely sold on the 5N either. Shooting it side by side with my K-5, I find the K-5 files to be much cleaner, even at base ISO, which is a bit surprising given they apparently have very similar if not identical sensors.
