Some shots with the 5Dc & Zeiss Pancolar 50mm 1.8 (m42) (the exif shows f1.4, but that's wrong,they were shot @ f1.8 or f4)
I had a Pancolar 50mm 1.8 which seemed VERY sharp @ 1.8, but then the focus ring got stuck,i gave it to somebody to repair it,but it wasn't sharper anymore after that and also the mfd was 0.45 instead of 0.35.
I the purchased an identical 50mm 1.8 Pancolar (first & second were the zebra version).
This one sometimes I find sharp, sometimes not (@ 1.8), but I'm sure this is due to the AF confirmation of the adapter (m42 to EOS adapter).
Since this is a Zeiss thread, I was thinking of ditching the Pancolar and getting a Biotar 58mm f2.
In terms of sharpness is the Biotar as ok as the pancolar? Also as far as bokeh goes, I think the Biotar is better (it's like the the Helios 58mm f2)
What other fast glasss from zeiss is out there that's affordable?
I was thinking of a Takumar 50/55 1.4 or a Zeiss 50 1.4, but I don't know the exact model/ names for the 1.4s
I know there is a Pancolar 1.4 but it seems it's too expensive (200 pounds on ebay)
