You're right, that picture was taken in a wax museum called "Musée Grévin" in Paris -)

Carsten, the one from the theater taken from the stage is great and also the middle one from the last set.

Here's a re-PP of a shot I posted earlier. I wanted more of a "gold"-ish look.

Contarex Zeiss Biogon 21mm f4.5, a truly magnificent lens.

Thanks Joakim! That middle room is neat. I was very lucky to find it; I actually unknowingly managed to find a way to end up behind a do-not-cross barrier without crossing any lines, and so I was the only one to get that shot. I had to crawl through a little hole in a wall, and ended up in this secret Zen shrine, or whatever it is

Wow, what a treat this last page. Carsten, your interior shots are amazing. The catwalk over arched window shot ( #1 of this streak ) is just gorgeous. Love the wood floor rendition and soft light coming through window. Similarly, the theater shot from seating with light filtering through proscenium is really groovy. The POV of shot from the stage is great, but in terms of lighting, I like the one from seating a little more. Very nice wood seats. I also like the shots from Tempelhof. Second one, once again, the light and composition is superb. Nice little touch with the broom on the column

Lieutenant - This last shot is great. You and Ant blow me away with your great street works.

Ronny - Gorgeous flower shot yet again.

Bob - Nice capture of the dramatic sky of a neighboury day

RSSmith - Nice work with Cy28. Nice shot of reflecting pool.

Wilhelm - I like the 'framing' with planar !

briantho - really nice composition with foliage framing around the gazebo. Gorgeous color

4 hand held shots stitched - CY 1.4/50 probably shot around f 6.3, D700

Thank you Ronny.

Yet again another brilliant flower shots. #2 is amazing. Great composition, gorgeous color, really yummy oof rendition. What was the F-stop ? Instinctively thought 6.3, but have no idea after looking at it a while.

Some shots with the 5Dc & Zeiss Pancolar 50mm 1.8 (m42) (the exif shows f1.4, but that's wrong,they were shot @ f1.8 or f4)

I had a Pancolar 50mm 1.8 which seemed VERY sharp @ 1.8, but then the focus ring got stuck,i gave it to somebody to repair it,but it wasn't sharper anymore after that and also the mfd was 0.45 instead of 0.35.

I the purchased an identical 50mm 1.8 Pancolar (first & second were the zebra version).

This one sometimes I find sharp, sometimes not (@ 1.8), but I'm sure this is due to the AF confirmation of the adapter (m42 to EOS adapter).

Since this is a Zeiss thread, I was thinking of ditching the Pancolar and getting a Biotar 58mm f2.

In terms of sharpness is the Biotar as ok as the pancolar? Also as far as bokeh goes, I think the Biotar is better (it's like the the Helios 58mm f2)

What other fast glasss from zeiss is out there that's affordable?

I was thinking of a Takumar 50/55 1.4 or a Zeiss 50 1.4, but I don't know the exact model/ names for the 1.4s

I know there is a Pancolar 1.4 but it seems it's too expensive (200 pounds on ebay)

Ronny - Thanks for the full disclosure It must be a pretty big flower. The crispness of image and the yet not completely dissolved bokeh made me think it was stopped down, but I am happy to find out how well 100MP performs at f2.

The Contax Zeiss Planar 50/1.4 would be a very good choice. I've had the Pancolar 50/1.8 and I liked it, but the Contax 50/1.4 has more vivid colors, which I like. I think that the Biotar 58/2 will have more muted colors like the Pancolar.

The Super Takumar 50/1.4 is supposed to be very good as well, but I believe it may not clear the mirror of the 5D at infinity focus?

Can you tell me how does the Biotar 58 f/2 (m42) stack up against my Planar (zebra) 50 1.8 (m42) in terms of IQ (sharpness, bokeh, color rendition, etc etc)?
