Thanks guys for kind comments.

Wilhelm, fantastic shot, OOF perspective, girl's facial expression, composition, rendering are all first rate! You are a very talented photographer!

Ronny, perfect timing! Doubtless you know when to depress the shutter button!

Hrannar : classic one nicely done.

Thanks so much for kind comments, really appreciated.

Hrannar, that is a perfect shot. Your usage of the 21 makes proud Zeiss prouder no doubt.

Ronny - lots of life in those shots, love it. But what is that snusdosa doing in the pocket of that nice young girl?

Here's a find from the bottom of the hard drive, 5D2, CY100/2:

Wilhelm -- Awesome shots, the belly dancing with paddler, and the amputee with lipstick on her nose. Even the Gay O.K. is oddly ambiguous. Each photo has a balance of beauty and grotesqueness. The net result is charmingly disarming.

Nice work, and congrats on your vision and timing.

Much obliged FP. But that nick is a new one. Sausage?

Thanks so much Jim, your comments inspires and means a lot. But she is not an amputee, she is squeezing her arms in for reason of... shall we say entertainment? :-)

Wilhelm, the gay ok shot is just amazing. The people each with different expressions, the lighting, and perfect 3D from that 100 Planar.

I wonder how this C/Y version compare to MP100 and Leica APO-R?

Wilhelm, I don't know if it is your PP or what, it has some enigmatic rendering which I never see from MP100. Do you shoot it at f2?

The DOF transition is very different than MP100 at that distance.

The 100 planar was designed for very abrupt transitions, just like the 28 holywood.

The GXR works very well as a spy camera. I can pretend to be looking at my photos on the LCD and snap away for minutes without anyone noticing

The two champions of quick transitions from point of focus to OOF are the CY 100P and. CY 35/1.4 which render lots of 3-d. I have both along with 100APO.
The 100MP renders OOF areas more strongly than 100P which has softer, more painterly bokeh.
100MP bokeh can be sometimes more nervous depending on subject distance and lighting.
100 APO is very sharp with smooth transition and smooth bokeh with no loCA unlike 100MP
I now also have CY S 100P with bellows which is amazing for macro with T/S.

I forgot about the 35/1.4. That is an awesome lens. My favourite during Contax to Canon days

In fact, I think Contax glass was the finest Zeiss had ever produced. The modern stuff lacks the magic.

Nex-C3, C/Y 35-70/3.4 @ 35mm/~5.6.I have found that, of all things, the "portrait" setting gives me the most pleasing greens.
