p.1 #1 · My new photography website

Well, I guess it was time to bring myself into the webb.

Here it goes:
The page

The main language is swedish, so here is a little translation from menu:
Djurfoto = Pet photography
Brölopp = Wedding
Porträtt = Portrait
Event = Event
För kunder = For costumers

Sub-menu:
Portfolio = Portfolio
Prislista = Pricelist

Oh, and google "fotoguru.se" and give it a click if you have spare time

C&C Welcome!

I am one of many who dislike Flash websites with "slide show" displays. I think web developers have overdosed on SWF.

They force me to look at things the way you want me to look at them and not the way I want to look at them. Plus they are slow. Give me thumbnails and easy navigation. Let me choose. Do some research on "best web design practices" and I think you will find growing disfavor for Flash sites.

Remember basic journalism, you should answer the questions Who, what, when, where, why, how. And you should answer them as quickly and simply as possible. If someone looks at your main page, how many of the questions are answered?

Good portfolio. Very nice photography which should attract clients.

Not sure about the blurry subject on the main page. I understand the artistic element. But will people want to hire a photographer who takes blurry pictures?

I respect "redcrown" opinion about your site. For me your site is a good start and you have nice photos. I can tell that you like white and overexposed backgrounds.

I guess with time your portfolio will have more photos, it needs more !

I know you are trying to blur yourself from the photo in order to highlight the flash effect. It is a good idea, but there is something I don't like from that blur photo, (Perhaps take a nicer photo of yourself looking more professional) also I think that your front page needs a nice logo on top of the page and that ad with the price is annoying. For me that ad is in the wrong place, it is too distracting. I know it is important but in that position on the page it looks that you are dying for money !

It takes time to organize a site, with the time you will see what is not right and you will fix it.

Nice Photos !

I hear you guys.The cheap-splash thing, I agree, it sucks and I should fix it asap.

About the photo on the main-page, fortunatly I did take some pictures where I was in focus too so I should probably check em out and see if it can be improved.

Thanks!
