Very lovely shot, Tim, my friend! The processing is great and I concur with the biblical/ serene feeling it evokes. Excellent! My only teensy little nit is wondering what that round ball is in the upper left corner. My eyes keep flying up there and so I can't stay focused on the subject at hand (pun intended). That's such an easy clone out. Otherwise, I really love it!
Another one for at least first testament vibes. St. Francis of Assisi was quite a animal magnet, if I remember my parochial school lessons correctly. Very nice job Tim. way to push the envelope.

Tim,
Hey, I can recognize what it is, so I don't squawk much about it. (Notice the spelling of squawk, Timmy. I also have to look it up every time I want to get the spelling right).
It helps that the statue has a magnificently done head and face. Your photograph and treatment look really good, too.
I'd love to see a straight B&W if you've got one.
Charlie
A big thank you to all of you for your kind comments!
Taken at a cemetery a few months ago, I believe.
The bright spot actually looks kind of neat in the less processed version. I see here that it doesn't fit, however.
I'll see if I have a straight b/w version and post it if I do, Charlie.
Thanks again, all.

I dont know who this Tim Michels guy is, signing your image, but the processing is quite fine and well-suited to the subject.
Works for me!

Wow very cool a image that really has a lot of impact. Made me just sit back and stare at it for a while very moving indeed, really like your processing here has it gives the statue a surreal higher feel, very nice work Tim.

Thanks, Ray!
Always good to see you here on the b/w forum.
I'm going to try to take a new shot of this statue this weekend and post a less processed version.

Reminds me of Noah on the Ark with the rain. The peace and serenity on the face puts me at ease. Pretty cool shot.
(I think that this is St. Francis of Assisi.)
Thank you, my friend.
I guess I should find out for sure who he is. After all, he overlooks my burial plot, so we should know one another! Yes, I said my burial plot. I'm a bit of a planner! Got that taken care of already!
