a work for an Israeli metal band that combines in they're music elements from the 3 religions - Christianity, Islam and Judaism.
this is the ONLY israeli band adored by people in Iran, Syria, Egypt, Turkey and other muslim countries. they bring message of unity and light, and that's what we were trying to get with this shot.
You do put out some very spectacular work. Nice photo.
Now.... why is the background highlight directly behind the Christian icon? Will some interpet this special placement as a halo effect? Giving extra meaning to this religion and not the others?
Just playing Devil's Advocate here. Since you are in a very delicate balancing act in that part of the world, I don't think you want to be preceived as biased with this group.
Would a more encompassing lighting effect give a more unifing feeling to this shot?

thank you for the comment
well, only Jesus AS AN ICON in wearing a halo (like in classic paintings) so it's fits better on him.
plus, the guy portraying him is the Singer of the band, which needs to be fronted from the rest.
I like the technical aspects of the shot for sure.
But, and this is just me ... It kinda looks like Jesus is mad. If the band advocates unity, I kinda wanna see more of that in the photo beyond people in different religious garbs being next to each other.
I definitely feel weird critiquing your shot since I'm probably one of the least experienced people that posts here ... but that kinda stuck out at me.
Last thought: I'm really glad a band like that exists.

yes, it is very good that there are still bands that try to make you think.
