I see lots of these pictures, But I finally went out and snapped a shot of tonight's moon. This is out of the balcony of my apartment complex.

D300, 300mm, 1.4extender.

Looks nice and crisp to me. Though it's "just" the moon, and it's hard to make one image stand out from another, I still find it's a satisfying experience to capture a good image for yourself!

Abiciriderback - Thank you. I guess next would be the moon with a little more context, such as a landscape. But I would need to figure out how to expose it correctly. Gradient filter I suppose.
