I love it. I love everything about it. It is my love affair in my life. The wife might need to be jealous.
Just ranting... I will never sell this lens. Even if I get rid of all my cameras...ill mount it to a plaque and show it for generations and generations. ...nuf said
It's a beautiful thing, though I find I use my 35L much more frequently, but that's just a FL thing. If you put IS on it without degrading performance, it may be perfect. I shoot handheld alot, and 135mm can be challenging. That said, I can't imagine selling it.
The new 100 f/2.8L IS macro, when setup for 0.5m-infinity gives the 135L a good challenge. Somewhat shorter FL, but IS works well, light weight and surprisingly fast AF.
It's my perfect studio headshot lens. You start snapping with that thing and things just start looking 'right'. Won't be leaving my kit bag anytime soon.
Man, I should have never used it from a friend of mine... Now I just have withdrawals... But yes, that lens just make your picture so much better, I love it so bad. For now, my 70-200 f/2.8L IS will do... :\
I have it but don't use is much of the time except in low light situations such as performances and stage plays. With all your posts, I might start using it again.
Yep, 200mm f2 and the 135L are my favorite lenses. The image quality is much the same with the snap and color saturation I love. Reminds me of my Leica Summicron.
