just practicing my product photography
is there anyway i could improve it?
i feel like there is something missing, somehow
how do i achieve those commercial (clean & elegant) look?
C & C please
What's missing is half the watch. For advertising-style product shots you MUST show the whole product, you can't let half of it drift off into darkness.
Look at high end watch ads in glossy magazines to see how they light the watch face and band with alternating strips of light and dark to show the features and the metallic shinyness.
More light will allow you to shoot at a smaller f/stop for greater depth of field also.
There are Breitling and Cartier ads in this week's Time magazine that are excellent examples of what you should be aiming at, and 2 different approaches.
