just out of curiosity, does anyone know if Mola's "satin silver" is an upgrade to the regular silver they offer?
on adorama's site, the model number is plainly DS220 but on BH, the model number is Mfr # DS220P while "P" probably means preforated diffuser. the price difference also leads me to believe silver satin is an upgrade to just regular silver?
As obvious from the Mola site, satin silver IS the regular silver for all sizes, the exception is the high polished Beamm. Check it out, there is no 'regular silver' variety offered.

walter did state that calumet may have some 'older' BDs' which were just painted silver and different from the satin silver, but this would have been long ago.

Great service isn't it? Have 'spoken' to Walter a number of times when getting my white Demi - 1/2 of that on weekends. Product is pretty darn nice as well ;>
