p.1 #1 · Removing grid pattern from image?

I tried shooting lightning for the first time last night, and came up with this.

I was shooting on a tripod indoors, through the screen door on our house. Is there any way to remove the grid lines from the screen door in PP? In the test shots that I took, the screen was not visible. I'm guessing that the lightning lit it up enough to show up in the picture though.

Anything else that I could do to improve how this looks? Thanks

No photoshop expert, but you might copy the image, overlap the two copies, and nudge one a pixel or two to the side, blend. You will probably have to resharpen the lightening.

Kaden is really the lightening guru - perhaps he can suggest a fix.

There's nothing in bag of tricks to help. However, if you take it to the post processing and printing forum, one of those PS gurus may have a tool or technique to help.

EmigrantMtChri I'll take your word on shooting the lightning.

That said, looking at it I would have sworn that its a digital software effect
for various reasons. One being the simple increase in light coming from off
the top of the image/off frame. Usually a point of reference in positioning
lightning with software. Here is an example where I carefully had to position
the effect far off the frame to be even:

I wouldn't know how to help you once you get this screen effect into the image.

This might not be the ideal solution, but have you considered burning/dodging tools? You might be able to "burn" some of the lighter sky to match the darker grid, and vice versa with the dodge in the lightning glow.

Delete my suggestion: dont think that works. Some how my mind got stuck on noise removal techniques.
