This was the last show at the main stage on the 4th of July. The place was so packed, there wasn't a lot of room to move around but fortunately I found myself next to a light pole, so I used that to brace. Unfortunately, I am not tall, so there is that disadvantage. Couldn't do much about the background here as it was outdoors and it was raining during the show too to make things even more interesting.
I'm loving how well the D1h and 180mm work well together, and I can't wait to try it out some more at the end of the month. Note to self, make sure if you change vehicles you remember to take the spare batteries and cards with you, DOH!
Thanks John and Andre. They were moving quick enough to be playing hockey, too, fast paced dancing on stage to go with the music. We were fortunate enough to get one of the six stops they made in the US.
I'd left the spare battery for the D1h in the truck's glove compartment, went home to eat, came back in the Crown Vic... had dumped cards while I was home, too, thankfully I had one CF card in my pocket or I'd really have been mad. As Karl Malden used to say, "Don't leave home without it!"
