Is there a way to adjust the infinity focus on the OM-Zuiko 18mm f3.5?
On my OM bodies the infinity is now at the 3m mark, that is a bit too much off for my taste. (it is the same on my digital cameras)
The lens is reaching infinity before the infinity mark, so the lens needs to be moved further away from the film plane.
I missed that this for use on a OM camera. Someone else will have to offer advice. Is it possible to remove the rubber grip, loosen some screws, and adjust the helicoid? I believe the OM 55/1.2 is like that, but I'm probably wrong.
FWIW, it's an internally-focusing lens (e.g. floating design). From the lens parts diagram it does look like there are grub screws under the focus ring rubber. I'd ask John Hermanson probably.
They still service these and will do this for you... I am searching my bookmarks now for a link that is actually helpful... But I thought in the mean time I'd let you know that option is out there.
