p.1 #1 · Oops... i just bought a Yashica YUS 28/2.8
That's what i get for not paying attention while surfing Ebay.
I just won an auction for a Yashica YUS 28mm F2.8 in really good condition. Problem is... I didn't really want this lens.
The only positive here is that my widest lens is my 18-55 kit, which I use when i'm in a P&S kind of mood...
Hmmm....
I'm wondering if it's worth getting an adapter for and keeping?
Time to find a C/Y to EOS adapter?

Well, the 28 ML doesn't get any love, so what the heck. The Yashica YUS line doesn't look that bad to me, and single-coated optics are fine (I use them all the time). Report back when you get results...

Yes, it's time to get a C/Y to EOS adapter. Even if you don't like the YUS 28/2.8, you'll be ready to try other alternatives, maybe the Distagon 28/2.8.

The lens arrived sometime last week, the adapter arrived yesterday.
I connected the two and mounted to my XT last night.
AF Confirm is stupid and tells me i'm at 2.0 (grrr...)
A couple of quick tests (at F8-10) have revealed a very nice and bright lens.
