p.1 #1 · First attempt at HDR...spider

Please give CC as I want to learn! Took one raw photo and saved it 3 times as -1, as shot and +1. Took the 3 images and combined them using Photomatrix 3.0 pro.

I got the dreaded "double post" so I will use this one to say that I got your picture to show for you and here is the format I used.

[ img ] url of picture [ /img ] But done with absolutely NO SPACES or it will not show. However it can be right clicked on and the url copied to open it in another browser window.

To be honest, I don't think it would be much difference. Maybe darker shadow and less saturation in the non HDR version.

It's a cool shot but my question is, why bother with HDR? It's designed to extend the dynamic range of your camera sensor for those lighting conditions where you can't avoid either blown highlight or clipped shadow. I don't see anything that calls for HDR in the shot. A little flash as fill light would've done the job just as well.

Nice shot but it's well within the DR of any DSLR.

It's a nice shot -but the light looks like it was camera mounted and the subject looks flat. It would be a lot better if you had the flash more to camera right or left.
